Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information USPortGo collects, why, and how it's used. USPortGo is operated by Petes Travel Center. If anything here is unclear, contact us at petestravel@yahoo.com.
Information we collect
- Payment information: Handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card number - only Stripe does, under its own security standards.
- Email address: Collected at checkout (via Stripe) and if you use the "Restore Access" feature. We use it to verify your purchase and to send you an access-restore link if you request one.
- Questions you ask in the "Ask a Question" feature: Sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate an answer. We don't permanently store your questions ourselves. Anthropic may retain API data briefly per its own policies - see Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
- Basic technical data: As with any website, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs standard technical information (like IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
- One functional cookie: A single cookie remembers that you've paid, so you don't have to check out again on your next visit. It isn't used for advertising, and we don't use any ad-tracking or analytics scripts.
How we use this information
- To verify your purchase and give you access to the app
- To send you a restore-access link if you request one by email
- To generate answers to questions you ask in the app
- To respond if you contact us for support
- To keep basic accounting/purchase records as required for tax and business purposes
Who we share information with
We don't sell your information, and we don't use advertising networks. We share the minimum necessary information with these service providers, solely to operate the app:
- Stripe - payment processing
- Resend - sending restore-access emails
- Anthropic - generating answers in the "Ask a Question" feature
- Cloudflare - hosting and infrastructure
Data retention
We keep your email and purchase record for as long as needed to support your access to the app and for our own accounting/tax records. You can request that we delete your record by contacting us, though we may need to retain minimal records where required by law (e.g. financial recordkeeping).
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what information we have on file for your email address, or to delete it. Contact petestravel@yahoo.com to make a request.
Children's privacy
USPortGo is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of USPortGo after changes means you accept the updated policy.
